oh...

Yes, I know it's a little bit school-girlish to be so sad at the loss of Paul Newman. But he was more than just a pretty face. He was a Very Good Human, as far as I know. If he was a scoundrel, don't tell me. I need to keep my illusions about a few things.

From Michelle in England:
"I'm grateful for my wonderful family and friends, the blue sky & sunshine. To see beautiful colours & being given the gift to make jewellery that a lot of people like to wear. To be blessed in being on this planet the same time as Kim and being able to use her wonderful, beautiful beads in some of my creations."

From Suzie H:
"having a wonderful visit with my in-laws this weekend

my niece and nephews

chilly mornings"

From Kathy N:
"My sweet sister.

The color of orange (fall) my favorite time of year.

My darling grandchildren, all 15 of them. The angels I can see.

Hi Kim
I love this idea.I had to smile reading some of the postings of why people are grateful, very touching.I guess my daughter and her husband have been doing this for quite some time at the dinner table with their 4 little boys,2 of whom are 2 1/2 year old twins.Jonathon (one of the twins) said he was thankful for the bird in the tree.I know, tugs at the heartstrings for sure.I am truly blessed with my wonderful family.
Love reading your blogs, don't ever quit!!!

Kim - I love that you're doing this too. My husband and I used to do this when we were going through the agony and grief and anger of dealing with his ALS diagnosis. Now that he's gone, I do it for myself (and of course I have to be an optimist since my name is Polly Anna). Today I'm grateful for:

My beautiful great-granddaughter.

The good book I just finished reading.

The nice man in the camera shop who helped me find a great new point and shoot camera that any idiot can operate so I can take it to Balloon Fiesta.

Today I'm grateful for:

My girls having such a good time at the new homeschool co-op.

Getting to hang out with other women you are just as crazy as you are for homeschooling in the first place.

Being given the opportunity to raise and teach my girls.
